Ray Swinehart drives the #33 Dirt Modified
Class car. He lives in Bechtelsville, PA. His home track is
Grandview Speedway but he can also be found racing at Big Diamond Raceway.
He started racing in 1975 in the small
block Modified Class at Nazareth Speedway because he got hooked at the age
of 8 and just loved it. His first win was in 1978 in the Stock Class
at Grandview Speedway. Ray qualified in the small block at Syracuse,
won the Forest Rogers Memorial at Grandview Speedway, won the most
Features last year and ran the Grand Nationals.
The thrill of racing for Ray is setting in
the seat, steering the wheel and going fast. He's most proud of
being able to race with all the top racers, McCredie, Hearnes, and being
able to be competitive.
Dale Earnhardt is Ray's racing hero.
Of racing, Ray says, "Gotta get out to a
dirt track 3 or 4 times, get a favorite driver and you will be hooked!".
