Dewayne
Kiefer
#13
Dewayne Kiefer drives the #13 Late Model
Class car. He lives in Ste. Genevieve, MO. His home track is
I-55 Raceway.
He started racing in 1996 in the Street
Stock Class at I-55 Raceway because it's in his blood with his father
racing when Dewayne was young. His first win was in 1997 in the
Street Stock Class at I-55 Raceway. Dewayne was the I-55 Raceway
Rookie of the Year in 1998, was the 2000 UDTRA Rookie of the Year runner
up and had the first Late Model Feature win in 2002 at Malden Speedway.
The thrill of racing for Dewayne is
hitting the right setup. He's most proud of showing his car off at
sponsor events and also for area Boy Scout troops. That gives the
kids a chance to see a real race car close up and he lets them sit in the
cockpit to get an even closer look. Dewayne says it's a good feeling
to see children get to experience something for the first time and see
their expressions on their little faces.
Of racing, Dewayne says, "It's like an
addiction!".
