Bill Davis drives the #71 UMP Modified Class car.  He lives in Chesterton, IN.  His home track is Crown Point Motor Speedway but he can also be found racing at Hartford Speedway Park, Shadyhill Speedway, Charleston Speedway, Kankakee Speedway and Vermilion County Speedway.

He started racing in 1959 in the Late Model Class at Broadway Speedway because he was to wild on the streets and needed to race legally.  His first win was his 2nd race at Broadway Speedway in the Late Model.  Career highlights include:  Several hundred Late Model Feature wins from 1959-1995, 50 career Feature wins in UMP Modifieds from 1995-present, Late Model Track Champion at Broadway Speedway in 1984, several Track titles in the '70's at Rennsselaer Raceway and Broadway Speedway, Shadyhill Speedway 1996 UMP Modified Track Champion, Kankakee Speedway UMP Modified Track Champion in 1997 and 1998.

The thrill of racing for Bill is being competitive at 63 years of age and racing in 6 different decades, won many Championships and many lasting friendships.  He's most proud of all the great people he's come in contact with.   Also his ability to start each even with a good attitude and all the young drivers he's been able to help and teach all the tricks of racing.
