Barry began racing in 1998 in the Open Wheel Class at Chandler. He says he started racing because he always wanted to try it. His first win was in 2001 at the same track in the same division.

Some of his career highlights include: 2nd in track points (Chandler Speedway); 10th in Indiana UMP points; and 52nd in National UMP points. The thrill of racing for Barry is the rush, which he says just can't be explained, and it happens every time you go out. His greatest racing accomplishment has been finishing 10th in the Indiana UMP points.

Barry's favorite driver is Robert Taylor.
