David Russell

David Russell drives the #8 Pure Stock Class car.  He lives in Evansville, IN.  His home track is Chandler Raceway but he can also be found racing at Kentucky Motor Speedway and Windy Hollow Speedway. 

He started racing in 2000 in the Mini Stock Class at Chandler Raceway because his uncles Jim Waters and Brent both raced for years and David loved it.  His Dad raced in a few Demo's and promised to help David build one when he was old enough.  You could say it's in his blood.  His career highlight was when he had his first wreck in 2001 and spun his cousin Billy out along with half the rest of the track.  He ran 3rd in a Heat Race and that was good enough for him.

The thrill of racing for David is the speed and competition.  He's most proud of just being able to race and he loves to build them too.

David's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt Jr.
