Mike Oldenberg

#86

Mike Oldenburg drives the #86 Modified Class car at Crown Point Speedway.  He lives in Hammond, IN.  People who help Mike are:  Shirley (car owner), Josh and Donnie.

He started racing in 1967 in the Late Model Class at Illiana Speedway because it was a family tradition.  His father was the NASCAR 1955 Convertible Champ in a 1955 Buick.  Mike's first win was in 1967.  Career highlights include running the Nationals at The Bay and running Eldora, and Kentucky Lake.

The thrill of racing for Mike is when a good handling car running deep into the turns.  His most exciting racing moment was racing with his Father....he let Mike win his first race.  He's most proud of always finishing top 10 in Points being respected by fellow drivers.

Mike's racing hero is Don Oldenberg, his Father.

Of racing, Mike says, "Dirt is real racing!".
