Budman started racing in 1995 in the
Rookie Figure 8 Class at Louisville Speedway because his wife said he
could. His first win was in 1997 in the Figure 8 Class at Kentucky
Motor Speedway. Career highlights include Kentucky Motor Speedway
Championship in 2000, Louisville Speedway 2nd place finish, #3 & #5 in
World 300 Race in 1998, '99 and 2000, Clarksville Sportsdrome Speedway
multiple times finishing in the top 5, Louisville Speedway finished in
the top 5 in the Championship Rookie year.
The thrill of racing for Budman is the
rush. His most exciting racing moment was getting hit in the
intersection twice in one race. He's most proud of his wife's
attitude first and winning 2000 Championship, second, at Kentucky Motor
Speedway.
Budman thinks all racers are heroes.
Of racing, Budman says, "It's a thrill
of a ride, there's much more to racing than just racing every weekend -
it takes a lot of hours to prepare!".
