John Cozart

John Cozart drives the #1 Oval Street Stock Class car.  He lives in Jeffersonville, IN.  His home track is Sportsdrome Speedway but he can also be found racing at Salem Raceway.

He started racing in 1977 in the Oval Street Stock Class at Sportsdrome Speedway because he loves racing fast.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include1995 Sportsdrome Oval Street Stock Track Champion and 1998 Salem Super Stock Track Champion.

The thrill of racing for John is the checkered flag and Winner's Circle.  His most exciting racing moment was the 1995 Figure 8 Madness where he took the lead on the 30th lap of 100 laps.  He's most proud of his Championships in 1995 & 1998.

John's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.
