Bill Riley
Jr.
#55
Bill Riley Jr. drives the #55 Extreme
Figure 8 Class car. He lives in Jeff, IN. His home track is
Sportsdrome Speedway but he can also be found racing at Salem Speedway.
He started racing in 1981 in the Sportsman
Class at Sportsdrome Speedway following in his Dad's footsteps. His
first win was that same year. Career highlights include 1987 World 3
Hour Figure 8 Rookie of the Year at Indianapolis Speedrome, 2 in Iron Man,
1 Hour Enduro in 2001, finished 10th or better in his 22 full seasons of
racing out of 24 total years.
The thrill of racing for Bill is flying
through the figure 8 without getting T boned. His most exciting
racing moment was his 1987 World 3 Hour Figure 8 Endurance Race and
getting Rookie of the Year. He's most proud of his Dad letting him
race for the first time in April of 1981. Bill will never forget it.
Bill's racing hero is, of course, his Dad!
Of racing, Bill says, "Try it, you'll love
it! Lots of fun, what a rush!".
