John Perkins Jr. drives the #7 Dromer X-treme 8 Class car.  His home track is Sportsdrome Speedway but he can also be found racing at Beech Bend Speedway.  He lives in Louisville, KY.

John started racing in 1998 in the Street Stock 8 class at Sportsdrome because of his Dad.  His first win was in 2000 in the Street Stock 8 Class at Sportsdrome.  Career highlights include 5 wins in 2004, the best of which was the Feature on Figure 8 Madness Night!

The thrill of racing for John is trying not to get hit in the X.  His most exciting racing moment was last year's Figure 8 Madness win.  He's most proud of being a clean driver.

John's racing heroes are his Dad, John Perkins Sr. and Leonard Basham.
