Melissa Frank drives the #83 Dromer Oval
Class car. Her home track is Sportsdrome Speedway. She lives
in Louisville, KY.

Daughters Brittany and Dakota, Angie & Jeff Crum, Gary Hall, John
Basham, Tommy Brown Jr. and Keith Frank.
Melissa started racing in 2005 in the
Dromer Class at Sportsdrome Speedway after being involved in racing for
7 years decided to drive one herself. Career highlights include
owning the car in 2005 that won 1 Consi and 1 B Feature plus
several Heat wins. She was able to have the car at the track for
every racing night in 2005. She is in the owners fund for 2006
from the 2005 Season.
The thrill of racing for Melissa is
knowing that a female can own and drive racecar and still be
competitive. Her most exciting racing moment was hitting the track
for the first time as a driver instead of being a fan sitting in the
stands. She's most proud that in 2006 she decided to build a new
car. She used the motor, transmission and rear end from the old
car. She only had help on welding and putting in the rear end.
The rest of the work was done solely by herself. Now she is a car
owner, driver and mechanic for her own car!
Melissa's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt
Sr.
Of racing, Melissa says, "My friends
that race here are great. They have helped me when I have
questions and have even hauled the car to the track for me when I was
unable to. I wouldn't trade them or the passion they have for
anything!".
