Kevin Besecker drives the #15 Sprint
Car. His home track is Lawrenceburg Speedway but he can also be
found racing at Bloomington Speedway and Gas City Speedway. He
lives in Greenville, OH.
Team members helping Kevin are:
His Dad, Rick. Rick Besecker is the car owner.
Kevin started racing in 1982 in the Go
Karts Class at 550 Raceway because his Grandfather owned race cars since
1955...it's just a way of life for Kevin's family. His first win
was in 1983 in the Go Kart class at 550 Raceway. Career highlights
include 200 + Go Kart wins, 1999 Thunder In The Dome Midget Feature
winner (only driver in history to have ever won both Kart and Midget
portions of this event), 2004 Lawrenceburg Speedway Sprint Car Track
Champion. He has also raced Midges, Modifieds, Late Models and
Legend Cars.
The thrill of racing for Kevin is having
to be on your toes and make split second decisions while trying to tame
a fire breathing beast. His most exciting racing moment was
running the high banks of Winchester Speedway in the Midgets. He's
most proud that he has a reputation of showing outstanding
sportsmanship.
Kevin's racing heroes are anyone who
raced cars without roll cages.
Of racing, Kevin says, "It is the sport
that gives you the best value for the buck, the place where you can find
everyone from 3 to 93 years old enjoying themselves in the same place
and the ONLY sports venue where "your heroes" can also become your
friends! No matter how bad you think you've got it or how much
more you think someone else has, there is ALWAYS someone who would trade
places with YOU in a heart beat!".
