Greg Owens drives the #18 Pure Stock Class car.  His home track is Lawrenceburg Speedway but he can also be found racing at Twin Cities Raceway Park, Moler Speedway and Thunder Valley Raceway.  He lives in North Vernon, IN.

Team members helping Greg are:  Colin Vaughn, Matt Vaughn, Dave Heilman.  Greg and Vicki Owens are the car owners.

Greg started racing in 1995 in the Mini Stock Class at Ripley County Fairgrounds because his family got him into racing.  Colin Vaughn now runs a Late Model. Career highlights include 2007 Sportsman of the Year at Lawrenceburg Speedway, '07 finishing 2nd in the Points at Lawrenceburg Speedway, 3 Feature wins in '07, numerous Feature wins previously at Ripley County Fairgrounds and other tracks.

The thrill of racing for Greg is trying to control something that can potentially be out of control.  His most exciting racing moment was winning his first Feature at Lawrenceburg Speedway in '07.  He's most proud of his first ever win at Ripley County Fairgrounds.

Greg looks up to all drivers who all have something special to offer.

Of racing, Greg says, "It's ten times better than a roller coaster ride!  Drive clean and be nice and help everyone.  It will get you further than anything on the track!".
