Troy Whitaker
#17
Troy Whitaker drives the #17 T27 Modified
Class car. He lives in Cincinnati, OH. His home track is
Lawrenceburg Speedway but he can also be found racing at Florence Speedway
and White Water Valley Speedway.
He started racing in 2001 in the Modified
Class at Lawrenceburg Speedway because he loved racing......he was born to
race and wants to go to Nascar. His first win was in 2003 in the
Modified Class at Lawrenceburg Speedway. Career highlights include:
Ran Rally Cross once, Raced Go-Karts for 10 years and was Track Champion
in that class 4 times in 2 years, and won his first race in Modified's
this year.
The thrill of racing for Troy is speed,
adrenaline rush, power and knowing only the strong survive. His most
exciting racing moment was winning his first Modified race and flipping
his Go-Kart and getting seriously injured. He's most proud of being
so young and actually doing good and being competitive.
Dale Earnhardt is Troy's racing hero.
Of racing, Troy says, "It's one of the
most exciting sports to get into and one of the best, if not the best, to
play. It's all in the mind...it's a game!".
