Mike Riddle

Mike Riddle drives the #12R Webb-Late Model
Class car. He lives in Anderson, IN. His home track is Mt. Lawn Speedway
but he can also be found racing at
Anderson-Winchester-Kokomo-Salem-Plymouth-Charleston and the Indianapolis
Speedrome.
He started racing in 1991 in the Figure 8
Class at Anderson Speedway, but didn't race a whole season. He started
racing again in 1997. In 1974 his Dad started racing Street Stock Figure 8
in Anderson, the whole family and friends got involved. His first win was
in 1997 in the Figure 8 Class at Anderson Speedway.
Career highlights include, 1997-Rookie of
the Year, Track Champion 2001 and 2002 at Anderson Speedway, First in
points in 2001 (his brother came in second), Point Champion in Late Models
at Anderson and 2nd at Mt. Lawn Speedway. In his first year in 2003-1st in
points (his teammate in 2nd) as of May22-2004. In 1999 he was in the
Triathlon at Anderson Speedway.
The thrills of racing for Mike are being
fast, starting in the back and win. He and his team have over 100 wins
behind them.
His most exciting racing moments were
coming in third on the high banks of the Salem Speedway in the 4th of July
Race in 1999. The Halloween 200 in 2003 and 2nd (to his brother) at
Winchester in 1999.
Mike is most proud of how his family and
friends stick together. They build their own cars from the chassi up.
Dave, Jon and Dad do the motors and we all fabricate the bodies.
His racing heroes are every racer who's
ever gotten behind the wheel.
Of racing, Mike says, "We are a racing
family. If your family is not involved and behind you, it's not fun
anymore. Mom never tells me good luck, she just says, "Have Fun!" ."
