Charlie Cotton

#50

Charlie Cotton drives the #50 Late Model Class car.  His home track is New Paris Speedway but he can also be found racing at Plymouth Speedway, South Bend Motor Speedway, Kalamazoo Speedway and Baer Field Speedway.  He lives in Claypool, IN.

Team members helping Charlie are:  John Courson - Crew Chief, Kevin Williamson, Dessin Rink, Lisa Bahney - car owner.

Charlie started racing in 1993 in the Street Stock Class at New Paris Speedway because his Dad raced and it is interesting.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include '96 A Feature win at Baer Field Speedway, '98 3 out of 4 Features in May at New Paris Speedway, '98 Street Stock Track Champion at New Paris Speedway, '06 New Paris Speedway 100 Lap Blowout winner.

The thrill of racing for Charlie is the speed and improving the car and improving the chassis.  His most exciting racing moment was being 19th fastest out of 350 cars at Kalamazoo Speedway Super Show locked in the 20 car A Feature, and ran in the Dealers Choice Race '02 & '03.  He's most proud of his Street Stock Championship in '98 at New Paris Speedway, winning 21 races total in '06 (3 Features, 11 Heat races and 7 B Features).

Charlie's racing heroes are any that are fast.

Of racing, Charlie says, "The drivers always want more.  I enjoy the competition!".

His favorite racing websites are www.stockcarextreme.com and www.mwracingnews.com
