Steve Bowlen

Steve Bowlen drives the #53 Street Stock Class car.  He lives in Bloomfield, IN.  His home track is Paragon Speedway but he can also be found racing at Bloomington Speedway.

He started racing in 1965 in the Stock Class at Paragon and Bloomington Speedways.....but doesn't know why!  His first win was in 1967 in the Stock Class at Bloomington.  Steve has had several Track Championships in Stock Classes at Paragon, Bloomington, and Sweet Owen Speedway between 1969-1973.  He drove Sprint cars at the above tracks from 1979-81.

The thrill of racing for Steve is the fun of the competition and fellowship of other drivers.  He's most proud to still be racing after all these years.

Of racing Steve says, " Support your local tracks, they are the grass roots of all racing!".
