Curtis McMurtrey drives the #1 Late Model
Class car. His home track is Indianapolis Speedrome but he can
also be found racing at Anderson Speedway and Sportsdrome Speedway.
He lives in Indianapolis, IN.

He started racing in 1984 in the Stock
Class at Indianapolis Speedrome as a result of watching racing and
decided he would try it. His first win was in 1985 in the Stock
Class at Speedrome. Career highlights include Stock Championship
in 1985, Late Model Championship in 2004 and World 3 Hour Figure Eight
Championship in 2002.
The thrill of racing for Curtis is close
racing, competition and winning! His most exciting racing moment
was the 3 Hour Figure Eight Championship in 2002. He's most proud
of being a clean driver and very few DNF's.
Curtis's racing hero is Mark Martin.
Of racing, Curtis says, "It is exciting
and a great form of stress relief!"
