Bill Tunny Jr. drives the #7 Late Model
Class car. His home track is Indianapolis Speedrome but he can
also be found racing at Anderson Speedway and Jeffersonville Speedrome.
He lives in Fairland, IN.

Bill started racing in 1977 in the Stock
Class at Indianapolis Speedrome because he'd always liked it. His
Dad built cars when Bill was younger. His first win was that same
year. Career highlights include top 10 in Points for 20 years,
2003 World Figure 8 Champion, most laps completed in World Figure 8
career, most laps completed at Indianapolis Speedrome career, 1 Hour
Late Model Figure 8 winner 3 times, won the Bobby Long Sportsmanship
Award twice, finished 2nd in World Figure 8 in '06 and has led most laps
in the World Figure 8.
The thrill of racing for Bill is short
track Late Model Figure 8 - nothing like it! His most exciting
racing moment was his 2003 World Championship. He's most proud
that
his 3 sons, ages 15, 18 and 20 are all in school, have part-time jobs
and race at the Speedrome.
Bill's racing heroes are everybody that
has to work hard to race while on a tight budget to be there every week
and their families.
Of racing, Bill says, "It works best as
a family sport!".
