     Johnny started racing in 2002 years ago.  He won a race in his rookie year.  The car is a 1986 Chevy Impala with a 350 engine. Johnny ran third in points in 2000 in the Roadrunner Class at the Speedrome. 

       Johnny started because  "It's a good hobby".   Jeff Gordon is his racin'  hero.  He wants to thank his Dad, Johnny Byrd Sr., Christina Mantel, and his brothers for all their help.

   Johnny's goal is to win the track championship this year at the Speedrome  and to someday drive for Nascar.
