Randy Gilland

Randy Gilland drives the #86 Pure Stock Class car.  He lives in North Vernon, IN.  His home track is Twin Cities Raceway Park but he can also be found racing at Osgood and Greensburg.

He started racing in 1991 in the Street Stock Class at Twin Cities Raceway Park as it had been a family tradition since 1969.  His first win was in 1992 in the Street Stock Class at Twin Cities Raceway.  Career highlights include anytime he can do a good job and put on a good show for the fans.  Randy says, "We, as race car drivers are entertainers. If the people are happy, we are happy!".

The thrill of racing for Randy is the need to compete.......it's in his blood.  His most exciting racing moment was leading the Feature at Twin Cities Raceway Park the last time they were open......then he got a flat tire.  He's most proud of his Point Championship in Go-Karts, being competitive in this years Pure Stock division.

His dad, Randy Gilland Sr. is Randy's racing hero.

Of racing, Randy says, "It's a good sport to be in.  It keeps kids out of trouble, away from drugs and things kids do not need to focus on!'.
