Shawn Smith drives the #86 Dash Series Class truck.  His home track is Salem Speedway but he can also be found racing at Highland Rim.  He lives in Louisville, KY.

Team members helping Shawn are:  Mike Angelini, Kevin Gardner, Chester Dennis.

Shawn started racing in 1992 in the Mini Stock Class at Louisville Motor Speedway after starting out on a pit crew and then started driving the following year.  His first win was in 1994 in the Mini Stock Class at Louisville Motor Speedway.  Career highlights include 1996 - 2001 Champion in Thunder Trucks at LMS, 2002-2003 Champion in Dash Series at Salem Speedway.

The thrill of racing for Shawn is the competition.  His most exciting racing moment was winning championships 3 yeas in a row at LMS in '01 and Salem in '02 and '03.  He's most proud of being competitive doing most of the work with no help.

Shawn's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Of racing, Shawn says, "If you don't have money or help, but a boat!".
