Chad Sovern drives the #17 A-Modified Class car.  His home track is 34 Raceway but he can also be found racing at Lee County Speedway.  He lives in West Burlington, IA. 

He started racing in 1998 in the A Modified Class at 34 Raceway after playing around with Quads, entering some races, and grew from there.  His first win was in 1999 in the 4 Wheelers at Flint Bodom.  Career highlights include winning Points Series at Kohoka and almost won the Elden Points on Quads.

The thrill of racing for Chad is being out there every week and hands on hands.  His most exciting racing moment was probably the first race of season in a Mod learning everything and running the car.  He's most proud of running Quads and doing well then moving up to Mods.

Chad's racing hero is Steve Kinser.

Of racing, Chad says, "It's the most exciting thing that you would ever do if you try to get into a car!".
