David Sugars drives the #24J Hobby Stock Class car at 34 Raceway.  He lives in Ft. Madison, IA.  People who help David are:  Nikki Sugars, Jeff Sugars and Todd Schneider.  Leroy Johnson is the car owner.

He started racing in 1993 in the Saturday Night Cruisers Class at 34 Raceway for fun.  His first win was in 1994 in the Hobby Stock Class at Lee County Speedway.  Career highlights include 1995 and 1998 Hobby Stock Champion at Lee County Speedway.

The thrill of racing for David is the racing competition.  His most exciting racing moment was getting pushed sideways into the infield on the last lap and coming back out onto the track to get 5th place.  He's most proud of winning 2 Championships.

David's racing hero is Bobby Labonte.
