#76
Norm Brakeville drives the #76 Modified
Class car. He lives in Monmouth, Illinois. His home track is 34 Raceway,
Burlington, but he can also be found racing at Macomb and Knoxville
Speedways.
He began racing in 1998 in Pro Stock Class
at Aledo Speedway because his Grandpa raced a long time ago, then his Dad
raced as well. His first win was in 1999 in Pro Stock Class at Aledo.
Career highlights include, a first win Mid-Season Race he won the Trophy
Dash.
The thrills of racing for Norm are going
wide open and turning left. His most exciting racing moment was when he
raced with his Dad and had him drive over his driver's side door. Norm
could see his Dad's wheel go right past his driver side window. Of course
Norm was ahead of him because Norm was driving a Chevy and his Dad, a
Ford. He is most proud of building his car from scratch and also doing the
repairs to it himself.
Norm's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.
Of racing, Norm says, It is a good way to
get your friends and family involved".
