Chris
Spieker
#56
Chris Spieker drives the #56 Dirt Late
Model Class car. His home track is Adams County Speedway but he
can also be found racing at I-80 Speedway. He lives in Massena,
IA.
Team members helping Chris are:
Scott Karstens, Tom Schafer, Justin Schafer, Will Erickson and Spenser
Erickson. David and Beth Spieker are car owners.
Chris started racing in 1991 in the Pro
Am Class at Adams County Speedway because his Dad has been the Crew
Chief on many cars since the '60's and Chris has been around it all of
his life. His first win was that same year. Career
highlights include 1991 Pro Am Rookie of the Year at ACS, 1997 Pro Am
Track Champion at Audubon County Speedway, 2001 Adams County Speedway
Late Model Champion, 2003 ACS Late Model Champion, 2004 ACS and I-80
Speedway Late Model Champion, 2004 ACS Driver of the Year, ACS World
Dirt Racing League winner May 28, 2005.
The thrill of racing for Chris is the
speed and competition. His most exciting racing moment is a tie
between winning the ACS and I-80 Speedway Late Model Championship in the
same year and winning a World Dirt Racing League race at my home track
for the first time up until this point. He's most proud of being
thought of as a clean driver and a wide fan base.
Chris's racing heroes are Dale Earnhardt
Sr. and Gary Webb.
Of racing, Chris says, "If you are
willing to give it a chance, you will be hooked for the rest of your
life!".
