Rod Bronson drives the #54R 360 Sportmod Class car.  His home track is Blackbird Bend Speedway.  He lives in Hooper, NE.

Team members helping Rod are:  Luke Kriekemeire, Jim Dahlgren, Noah Ludwig.  Car owners are Rod and Sally Bronson.

Rod started racing in 1984 in the Broncos Class at Sunset Speedway after racing with his Dad since Rod was 5 years old until his Dad died in 1977 and always loved racing.  His first win was in 2005 in the B-Modified Class at Blackbird Bend Speedway.  Career highlights include his first win ever after 5 years of racing and a 18 year layoff while raising his children.

The thrill of racing for Rod is being able to out drive some one on the track.  His most exciting racing moment was his first win with hopefully more to come.  He's most proud of just building his car from a bare chassis with all used parts in his yard over the winter with no garage.

Rod's racing hero is Bill Elliott.

Of racing, Rod says, "You need to be at the track during a great clean race and for 15 or 20 laps you do not know who will win and feel the excitement in the stands when that checkered flag waves.  Life is short and sometimes it takes some hard work and personal sacrifice to get what  you want to accomplish.  We race in memory of my daughter, Misty Bronson 1981-2003.
