Hal Russell drives the #Z2 Late Model Class car.  His home track is West Liberty Raceway and C J  Raceway.  He lives in Blue Grass, IA.

Team members helping Hal are:  Cindy Russell, Jeff Theobald, Joe Lowder, Charlie Brockert.

Hal started racing in 1972 - 1980 in the Sportsman Class at Davenport Speedway and West Liberty Raceway.  He restarted in 2001 because his family is in it.  His first win was in 1972 in the Karts and in 1981 in the Pro Stock Class at West Liberty Raceway.  Career highlights include '81 Pro Stock Sportsman Championship at West Liberty Raceway and Davenport Speedway.

The thrill of racing for Hal is spending time with my Crew Chief, Cindy (my wife).  His most exciting racing moment was first win  in '81.  Made front page in Hawkeye Racing News with his son, Lee.  He's most proud of doing it with his family.

Hal's racing hero is Bill Newman, Flagman.

Of racing, Hal says, "Don't get to serious about it, have fun!".
