#13RJ
Ron Cundiff Jr. drives the #13RJ V-8
Modified Class car. His home track is Cedar County Speedway but he
can also be found racing at West Liberty Speedway, Dubuque Speedway,
Farley Speedway and Freeport Raceway Park. He lives in DeWitt, IA.
Team members helping Ron are: Crew
Chief - Ron Cundiff Sr., Carla Cundiff, Cody Cundiff, Cheyann Cundiff,
Rod Bracher, Rob Clark Chassis Builder Casey.
He started racing in 2003 in the V-8
Modified Class at Jackson County Speedway because he and his Dad started
in order to have a hobby together and because Ron stopped bull riding
but had to have a natural rush in his life.
The thrill of racing for Ron sounds
crazy, but actually it's the fans and little kids who come over for
autographs. His most exciting racing moment is actually every time
he comes in off the track and his Dad's smiling and excited about how
Ron finished or raced. He's most proud of the night he was told by
the late Ronnie Weedon that Ron was one of the most considerate young
Rookie drivers he's ever raced.
Ron's racing heroes are Ronnie Barker
and Steve Johnson because as good of drivers as they are, you can
still talk to them and ask questions and they don't let success go to
their heads.
Of racing, Ron says, "Each and every
driver puts a lot of time and effort into their cars no matter how fast
or slow they are and for the kids, try, try, try again until you finally
succeed and go for your goals!".
