Ryan DeShaw drives the #33 Modified Class
car. His home track is Farley Speedway but he can also be found
racing at Dubuque Speedway. He lives in Worthington, IA.
Team members helping Ryan are:
Fred DeShaw, Brett Frasher, Dave Resler. Ryan and Fred DeShaw are
the car owners.
He started racing in 1993 in the Race
Karts Class at Delaware Speedway because he liked watching NASCAR and
Dale Earnhardt. His first win was in 1994 in the Race Karts Class
at Delaware Speedway. He raced Race Karts until he was 16.
During that time he won 3 Championships, placed Nationally and collected
over 60 wins.
The thrill of racing for Ryan is the
side by side racing and the speed. His most exciting racing moment
was getting his first top 5 in his first year of racing Modifieds.
He's most proud of doing as well as they have over the years racing
against much higher dollar operations.
Ryan's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.
Of racing, Ryan says, "It's a lot
different than it looks!".
