Darrin Walch drives the #5w Modified Class car.  His home track is Echo Valley Speedway but he can also be found racing at Farley Speedway.  He lives in Postville, IA.

Team members helping Darrin are:  Harlan Walch, Tony Schlee, Larry Plaht, Todd Walch, Brian Livergood, Tom Benson, Rick Gunderson, wife Jodi and children Magan, Stacy and Cole.

He started racing in 1998 in the Pure Stock Class at Nordic Speedway because he enjoyed the speed.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include 1999 Nordic Speedway Pure Stock Point Champion, 2000 Nordic Speedway Hobby Stock Point Champion and 2001 Nordic Speedway Hobby Stock Point Champion.

The thrill of racing for Darrin is running side by side.  He's most proud of winning 3 Championships in a row, while moving up a class.
