Steve Johnson

Steve Johnson drives the #77J Modified
Class car. His home track is Farley Speedway but he can also be
found racing at Dubuque Fair Speedway and Davenport Speedway. He
lives in Camanche, IA. People who help Steve are: Mike
Blanchard, Greg Scremmins, and Kim Brestrup. Steve and Cathy Johnson
are the car owners.
He started racing in 1977 in the Sportsman
Class at Jackson County Speedway for the love of the sport. His
first win was in 1978 in the Sportsman Class at Jackson County Speedway.
Career highlights include 1990 & 1992 Yankee Modified Champion, 1980 Late
Model Championship at Jackson County Speedway, 1990 Modified Track
Champion at West Liberty and 1997 Late Model Track Championship at Dubuque
Fair Speedway.
The thrill of racing for Steve is
competing. He's most proud of still being able to race after 28
years!
Steve's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.
