John Coons drives the #83 4 Cylinder Class car.  His home track is Hawkeye Raceway.  He lives in Davenport, IA.  People who help him are:  Brian Thorndike, David Rameriz, Bill Coons, Mike Spencer (car owner), Doug Moorman.

He started racing in 2005 in the 4 Cylinder Class at Hawkeye Raceway for something different to try.  His father-in-law, Doug Moorman, got him into it.

The thrill of racing for John is the speed.  He's most proud of getting the car done in time to race.

John's racing heroes are Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
