Rob started racing in 2002 in the Street
Stock Class at Hawkeye Raceway as a family tradition. Career
highlights include finishing 5th in the Points in 2003.
The thrill of racing for Rob is the
speed and being able to control something that is almost out of control.
His most exciting racing moment was running door to door with fellow
racers being inches from each other but not touching and seeing his
daughters face at the fence and having her tell him that he's her
favorite driver. He's most proud of doing it mostly on his own and
being competitive and pitting for a Championship Team.
Rob's racing heroes are the late Ronnie
Weedon and Vic Goben.
Of racing, Rob says, "Make obligations
to your race car but not your first obligation. You control racing
but don't let it control you!".
