Milt Moorman drives the #117 Street Stock Class car.  His home track is Hawkeye Raceway but he can also be found racing at Davenport Speedway, Boone Speedway and Quad City Speedway.  He lives in Davenport, IA.

Milt started racing in 1973 in the Drag Racing Class at Cordova Raceway Park because his Father raced in the '50s and '60's on dirt tracks in Iowa.  Milt's first win was in 1976 in the Street Stock Class at Cordova Raceway Park.  Career highlights include Rookie of the Year in 1984, Mid Season Champion in 1988, Season Champion in Points in 1988, Track Champion in 1988 at Hawkeye Raceway in Street Stock.  Milt raced with Kenny Schrader at Davenport Speedway and raced at IMCA Nationals in Boone Iowa since 1990.

The thrill of racing for Milt is having a good night and finishing well and having kids come to the pits to sit in their car and get autographs.  His most exciting racing moment was winning the Championship in Points and Mid Season and Season Championship at Hawkeye Raceway in 1988 for their Dad after he passed away.  He's most proud of being known by kids and adults on and off the track as a clean driver and the respect he has and gets from fellow drivers.

Milt's racing heroes are his Father and all the old timers from the old days.

Of racing, Milt says, "Racing is a family sport in and out of the pits.  Bring your kids into the pits and ask anytime to sit in the cars.  Just the smell and the feel of the cars gets into your blood!  Always live today as if tomorrow will never come and yesterday never happened!".
