He began racing in 1998 in Hobby Stock Class at Jackson County Speedway, Maquoketa, Iowa as a hobby and because it was fun. His first win was in 2003 in B-Mod Class at Maquoketa. Career highlights include Three Feature wins.

The thrill of racing for Dan is winning. His most exciting racing moment was winning a Feature Race at Davenport and asking his girlfriend to marry him. He is most proud of the 3 Feature wins.

Dan's racing hero is Jeff Gordon.
