He began racing in 1996 in 4 Cyl. Modified at Jackson County, as a hobby. His first win was in 1996 same Class and Track. Career Highlight includes, Sportsman of the Year in 2000.

The thrill of racing for Hal is the competition. His most exciting racing moment was Second Place Finish in 2004. He is most proud of being competitive in V8 Modified Class.
