Klay races out of Dewitt IA.  He races Street Stocks at his home track of Jackson County Speedway. Klay began racing in 1996 at Tipton IA in a Hobby Stock.

Klay began racing because "It looked like fun." Klay got his first win in a Hobby Stock at Tipton. He won his first feature in a Hobby Stock in 1997 at Tipton. It was only his third time in the car!!!!!!!! 

Klay got a win in a B- mod in 2000 and 2 wins in a Street Stocks in 2002

The door to door competition is the thrill of racing for Klay. 90% of the time he is on the track it is thrilling. Klay is most proud of winning!
