Delbert
DeMoss
#38
Delbert De Moss drives the #38 A-Modified
Class car. He lives in Welton, Iowa. His home track is Jackson County
Speedway but he can also be found racing at Davenport, Iowa.
He began racing in 1999 in Street Stock
Class at Jackson County Speedway because his friends were doing it, looked
like fun and his Dad used to race. His first win was in 2000 at Jackson
County in Street Stock Class. Career highlights include being in the Top
Three in Points in 2001 all year, and just barely missing the
Championship.
The thrill of racing for him is the
competition. His most exciting racing moment was starting 18th and driving
to the front in a 15 lap caution free race, and winning the Fair Race in
his A-Mod. He is most proud of watching friends race and winning in cars
he built.
Delbert's racing hero is Matt Kenseth.
Of racing, Delbert says, "It's expensive
to be competitive and not as easy as it looks".
