He began racing in 2003 in Hobby Stock Class at Maquoketa, because his dad got him into it. His first win was in 2003 in Hobby Stock Class at Maquoketa. Career highlights include, Rookie of the Year-2003 and Jackson County Speedway Track Champion-2004.

The thrill of racing for Jon is the excitement. His most exciting racing moment was winning the Championship. He is most proud of learning so much over the past years.

Jon's racing hero is Jimmie Johnson.
