Michael Leif drives the #80 Hobby Class car.  His home track is Jackson County Speedway but he can also be found racing at Davenport Speedway.  He lives in Fulton, IL.  People who help Michael are:  Mike Leif Sr., Sara Silkema, Veneta Leif.

Michael started racing in 2003 in the V-8 Cruiser Class at Hawkeye Raceway following in his father's footsteps.  His first win was in 2003 in the V-8 Cruiser Class at Hawkeye Raceway.  Career highlights include 9 Feature wins in 2003 at Hawkeye Raceway and 1 Feature win at East Moline Raceway.  In 2004 Michael had 9 Feature wins at Hawkeye Raceway.

The thrill of racing for Michael is winning!  His most exciting racing moment was winning the Illowa Challenge at Hawkeye Raceway.  Michael won and his Dad came in second.  He's most proud of finishing 2nd in the Points at Hawkeye.

Michael's racing heroes are Gary Webb and Ronnie Weedon.
