KIRK WINKER
#10W
Kirk drives the #10W Sprint car. He
lives in Pleasant Prairie, WI. His Home Track is Wilmont
Speedway.
Kirk started racing in 1995 in the Sprint
class at Wilmont Speedway in Wisconsin. He started racing because his
Dad raced and it seemed cool, then he says you fall in love and it gets you.
His first win was in 1995 in the Sprint
class at Wilmont. 2001 highlights include 3 Top Fives, Dash Win, 2nd
in Points at Wilmont and going to Australia.
Other career highlights include 2nd Place
in Gumout Race, 75+ Wins, Wisconsin Fans For Auto Racing Pick of the Year
and his Dad won the only Father/Son Team in 1998.
The thrill of racing for Kirk is HB and throttle.
The fans get so happy, they treat you like a hero and you are just a guy and
the kids are so much. His greatest racing thrill was going to
Australia and betting Steve Kinser on Passing Point System. Kirk's
greatest racing moment was his first IRA Win, standing with his Dad in
Victory Lane. He's gone and it means a lot to Kirk.
Shawn Revere, Mark Maglio and Bret Miles
help with his racing career.
Kirk's racing hero is his Dad, Allen
Winker.
Kirk says, "I think it's more
addicting than drugs. I never did them."
