Eric "Big E" Whittington drives the #02 Street Stock Class car.  His home track is Bureau County Speedway but he can also be found racing at LaSalle Speedway and Lincoln Speedway.  He lives in Princeton, IL.  People who help Eric are:  Mike Menery, Jonathan Albrecht.  Eric and Heather Whittington are car owners.

Eric started racing in 2001 in the Bomber Class at Bureau County Speedway as he grew up around racing and loved going fast.  His first win was in 2003 in the Bomber Class at Bureau County Speedway.  Career highlights include Rookie of the Year in 2001 at Bureau County Speedway, 4 Feature wins in 2004 and 15 Heat race wins.

The thrill of racing for Eric is the speed.  His most exciting racing moment was winning a Feature on 6 Cylinders and having to have his car towed from Victory Lane.  He's most proud of going to the track with his family including 4 generations at once.

Eric's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.

Of racing, Eric says, "It's a lot more work and more time consuming than people think!".
