Steve Adams drives the #500 Modifieds, Sportsman and Street Stock Class car.  His home track is Charleston Speedway, but he can also be found racing at Terre Haute Action Track, DuQuoin Fairgrounds, Illinois State Fairgrounds, Eldora Speedway and many others.  He also drives in Off Road Racing, MAORA and LTOR.   He lives in Humboldt (Cooks Mill), IL.

Team members helping Steve are:  David Sheridan - Crew Chief, Dan Sheridan - Tire and Body Tech, Dick Sheridan - Crew Member, Bob Atchley, Crew Member.  Steve Adams and Dave Sheridan are the car owners.

Steve started racing in 1984 in the Enduro Class at Charleston Speedway because of the speed factor, which = FUN.  His first win was in 1987 in the Street Stock Class at Charleston Speedway.  Career highlights include 1989 Street Stock Champion at Charleston Speedway, 1997 Bomber Class Champion at Red Hill Raceway, plus close to 60 Feature wins.

The thrill of racing for Steve is to go ridiculously fast, without shame...and win MONEY!.  His most exciting racing moment was the opportunity to race 140+ mph on 1 Mile Dirt Tracks.   He's most proud of getting a lot of respect from the Street Stock drivers.

Steve's racing hero is Jack Hewitt.
