Chris Ashmore drives the #5A Street Stock Class car.  He lives in Oakland, IL.  His home track is Charleston Speedway.

He started racing in 2002 in the Street Stock Class at Charleston Speedway because it had been a life long passion.  He won the Rollover Trophy!

The thrill of racing for Chris is the adrenaline rush!  His most exciting racing moment was leading his semi-Feature Heat.  He's most proud of competing with his friends and finishing the races.

Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. are Chris's racing heroes.

Of racing Chris says, "We're more than just hillbillies having fun!".
