Jim Cross Jr. drives the #25c Hornet Class car.  His home track is Charleston Speedway but he can also be found racing at Vermilion County Speedway.  He lives in Ashmore, IL.

Team members helping Jim are:  Jim Cross Sr., Doug Woodyard, Corey Rennels, Tiffany Woodyard, Cory Woodyard, Chelsy Cross and Susan Woodyard.  Jim Cross Jr. and Jim Cross Sr. are the car owners.

He began racing in 2003 in Hornet Class at Charleston Speedway having grown up at the track and had to get in a car after watching his Dad race when he was younger.  His first win was on July 12, 2003 at Charleston Speedway in Hornet Class. Career highlights include finishing 2nd in Points in 2004, two Feature wins in 2004 and 9 Feature wins so far in 2005.

The thrill of racing for Jim is the personal bond between the drivers every weekend as they run 3 wide.  His most exciting racing moment was winning his first Heat Race.  He is most proud of finishing in the top 2 in Points in each of his first two full racing seasons.

His racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.

Of racing, Jim says, "One of the best sports to watch and participate in.  On the gas and kick'n a**!".
