Darrell McDowell drives the #22D UMP
Modified Class car. His home track is Clay County Speedway but he
can also be found racing at Mt. Vernon Raceway, Vermillion County
Speedway and Tri-State Speedway. He lives in Olney, IL.

Matt McClenathan.
Darrell started racing in 2005 in the
Hornet Class at Clay County Speedway because he's been around it since
he was 3 years old and high school basketball was over so it was time to
take on another activity. His first win was in 2005 in the Hornet
Class at Clay County Speedway. Career highlights include his first
Feature win, 2 Top Tens at Clay County Speedway and Tri State Speedway
in '06 and his first career Top Five at Clay County Speedway in '06.
The thrill of racing for Darrell is
coming from 24th to finish 5th in the last race of the year.
He's most proud of racing ide by side against some of the toughest
competitors in the area.

and Tony Bettenhausen.
