David Babb

David Babb drives the #3163 Bike.  He lives in Arthur, IL.  His home track is Coles County Dragway and he can be found racing on many others.

He started racing in 1975 in the Sportsman Class at Macon County Speedway as he grew up in a racing family.  His first win was in 1976 in the Sportsman Class at Macon.  David went from dirt racing to Drag Bike in 1995 and won Track Championship in 1996, his first full year of racing bike.

The thrill of racing for David is winning!  His most exciting racing moment was bad crashes.  He's most proud of winning Track Championship.

Shannon Babb is David's racing hero.

Of racing, David says, "Start the kids at a young age.  It's a great sport!".
