James Taylor
#355T
James Taylor (Pontiac Jack) drives the
#355T Pro Class car. He lives in Cerro Gordo, IL. His home
track is Coles County Dragway but he can also be found racing at Cordova,
Indy, Joliet and Terre Haute.
He started racing in 1972 in Street Racing
because of his need for speed. His first win was in 1997 in the Pro
Class at Coles County Dragway. Career highlights include ET top
qualifier 2000 Pro Coles County Dragway, Runner-Up at 2003 Pontiac
Nationals at Cordova, IL, and any night he goes rounds without bye backs.
The thrill of racing for James is the
speed and loud noises. His most exciting racing moment was runner up
at the Pontiac Nationals and winning Indy Track Points at Coles County
Dragway. He's most proud of qualifying 3 years in a row to the ET
Nationals at Indy.
John Force (especially when he drove
Pontiacs) is James's racing hero.
Of racing, James says, "If you have a need
for speed bring it to the track!".
