Max Lang drives the #M386 Pro Class car.  He lives in Charleston, IL.  His home track is Coles County Dragway.

He started racing in 1958 in the E Gas Class at Terre Haute because of the competition and to beat the other guys and following father's footsteps.  His first win was in 1959 in the E Gas Class at Terre Haute.

The thrill of racing for Max is to beat a better car.  His most exciting racing moment was beating the big cars.  He's most proud of winning Good Guys in Indiana in 2002 and getting runner-up twice.

Warren Johnson and Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins are Max's racing heroes.

Of racing, Max says, "Fun and exhilarating for people!".
